In addition, this new generation of robots includes a 32-bit quad-core processor that allows it to be up to 20% more efficient on its route.
It is not that it cleans better than its predecessor, but thanks to this processor the Roborock S5 Max understands the shape of the room and its obstacles. Transform that information into a more efficient route to save time and battery life. A set of sensors including accelerometers, infrared, compass, drop sensor … They make the S5 move smoothly around your home.
Its suction power is 2,000 Pa, a Roborock high-end standard that allows vacuuming of all kinds of particles in floors and carpets. It has 4 operating modes to adjust its power: Silent, Balanced, Turbo and Maximum. It can be configured to maximize power when riding over rugs. Its waste container is a good size, 460 ml, and includes a HEPA filter.
Another novelty of this new generation is that they have improved the quality of the brushes. But the Roborock S5 Max not only has the largest water tank yet, with a capacity of 290 ml. This tank allows you to scrub a 65 m² floor up to 3 times. It also has a spring with 300 gr that presses the mop against the ground for better results.
Its drip system is electric and not by gravity, so we can choose the water level for scrubbing through the application. Thanks to this we can choose which type of water flow is best for each type of soil. When scrubbing starts, the robot supplies more water to wet the mop. Once you have finished scrubbing the robot cuts off the water supply so that the cloth dries back to the charging base.
Last but not least, the Roborock S5 Max features a 5,200 mAh battery that allows it to clean for up to 150 minutes. In this time you can clean up to 200 m². Thanks to its navigation system, the robot returns to its charging base when it is below 20% battery. Unlike other Roborocks, it calculates the battery you need to finish your route and resumes it from the same point when it has been sufficiently charged, so you don’t have to wait long. In other robots we will have to wait for it to load at 80%.

All Roborocks have the advantage of being controlled through their mobile application, and those with an LDS laser sensor are even more configurable.
